Jamie and Chloe were married at the The Mercure hotel in Watford in November. This was to be my last wedding of the year so I was very much looking forward to it, after such a great year!
They had the largest bridal party I have ever worked with which included 8 ushers, 8 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls and their beautiful son as a page boy. Having so many meant I could achieve some of the shots I had been waiting to do and with all of them being a great laugh and very willing I was able to achieve this.
The ceremony was certainly the funniest I have been part of. With the best man pulling off a very funny joke on a nervous groom when giving him the ring for Chloe. It involved the wrong pocket and a sweet ring instead of the real one; it was very funny and had everyone laughing not sure if the registrar saw it that way though.
After becoming husband and wife the chief bridesmaid and best man had arranged a little surprise for the couple of setting free two white doves, it was a lovely moment and a first for me.
Moving outside into the gardens of the hotel we set about capturing the couple’s special images and then moved on to the vast amount of group shots.
The evening brought some of my favourite first dance shots to date and a great end to a great day.
